As we are entering unprecedented times as we experience a global pandemic, it is important to receive the most up-to-date facts from reliable sources to fight misinformation and to keep you informed & healthy.

You can find reliable information online at the following sources:

You can also call for more information:

The Province of Ontario has released a new online self-assessment tool to assess if you should seek further care. You can find it here: https://www.ontario.ca/page/2019-novel-coronavirus-covid-19-self-assessment

If you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, please contact Telehealth Ontario or Toronto Public Health. Do not call 911 unless it is an emergency.

If you are directed to an assessment centre because you have symptoms and have been exposed to COVID-19, the local centre is at Birchmount Hospital, 3030 Birchmount Rd. You can find more information at https://www.shn.ca/covid19-assess/.

Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, difficulty breathing. Those who are infected with COVID-19 may have little to no symptoms. Symptoms may take up to 14 days to appear after exposure.

Public health officials are recommending frequent handwashing with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitizer, coughing or sneezing into your sleeve, avoid touching your face, and to avoid gatherings of 250 persons or more.

Stay safe, and stay informed. Together we will weather this pandemic and keep our communities healthy.

My best regards,
