I want to provide you with an important update from my office. In light of the Public Health recommendations, my community office will be closed to walk-in visitors until further notice. If you are experiencing symptoms of Covid-19, please contact Telehealth Ontario or Toronto Public Health. Do not call 911 unless it is an emergency.
If you are directed to an assessment centre because you have symptoms and have been exposed to COVID-19, the local centre is at Birchmount Hospital, 3030 Birchmount Rd. You can find more information at https://www.shn.ca/covid19-assess/.
Symptoms of COVID-19 include fever, cough, difficulty breathing. Those who are infected with COVID-19 may have little to no symptoms. Symptoms may take up to 14 days to appear after exposure.
Public health officials are recommending frequent handwashing with soap and water or alcohol-based sanitizer, coughing or sneezing into your sleeve, avoid touching your face, and to avoid gatherings of 250 persons or more.
