Today, we honour every Canadian who has served our country and sacrificed so we can live free.
This day represents many values that are at the core of Canadian society: democracy, freedom, peace, and courage in the face of adversity.
We are fortunate to live in a free country where all enjoy the respect for human rights. As a province and as a country, diversity is our strength. We are able to enjoy these privileges because of the valor of Canadians who have fought for our values.
I encourage all of my fellow Ontarians to mark Remembrance Day, by attending a service, wearing a poppy, or reflecting on the Canadians who have made sacrifices for a greater cause. We remember.
Lest we forget.
