Province Extends Emergency Orders
This weekend, the province extended all emergency orders currently in force until July 10, 2020.
Masks Required on TTC Starting July 2nd
Effective Thursday July 2, masks or face coverings are mandatory when travelling on the TTC, with the exception of:
- Children under two years of age.
- Persons with an underlying medical condition which inhibits the ability to wear a mask or face covering.
- Persons who are unable to place or remove a mask or face covering without assistance.
- TTC employees and agents within an area designated for TTC personnel and not for public access, or within or behind a physical barrier or shield.
- Additional accommodations in accordance with the Ontario Human Rights Code will also be considered.

Scarborough-Born Singer The Weeknd Donates $500 000 to Scarborough Health Network
Multi-platinum selling singer, songwriter and record producer Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, has donated $500,000 CAD to Scarborough Health Network (SHN) in support of COVID-19 relief efforts through sales of his popular line of XO face masks. The donation is a leading gift to the health network’s COVID-19 Emergency Fund, which now totals more than $2.7 million.
