MPP Mitzie Hunter Community Update

  • Community Update

Dear friends,

I hope you and your family are keeping safe and staying warm!

I know that many of you have questions about Toronto’s lockdown and what it means for you and your community as we head into the holiday season. I’d like to remind you that today at 7:00 pm, my colleagues Councillor Paul Ainslie and MP John McKay and I will be holding a Virtual Town Hall about government response to the second wave. You can find event details by scrolling through this update, or skip ahead here.

For more information on Toronto’s lockdown, including a full list of restrictions and recommendations, click here.

This Sunday will mark the 31st anniversay of the École Polytechnique massacre which took the lives of 14 women and injured a further 10 women and four men in an act of misogynistic violence. It’s an important reminder of the devastating impacts of misogyny, hate, and violence against women and we remember & honour the victims memories.

Thank you for doing your part to keep our community safe.

Warm regards,

Mitzie in the Legislature
