As Toronto enters a second week of lockdown, I hope you’re keeping safe and well.
I know that many of you have questions about the lockdown and what it means for you and your community as we head into the holiday season. Next Thursday at 7:00 pm, please join me and my colleagues Councillor Paul Ainslie and MP John McKay for a Virtual Town Hall about government response to the second wave. Scarborough Community Legal Services AGM
Last week, Mitzie joined Scarborough Community Legal Services (SCLS) for their Annual General Meeting via teleconference. During the AGM, Mitzie recognized the end of a pilot program undertaken by SCLS to examine how social work students could enhance community legal clinics by expanding programs and services. The program was made possible by a $75 000 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
