  • Community Update

Dear Friends,

I hope that you and your families are safe and healthy!

In Ontario, October is Hispanic Heritage Month. This month is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the culture, heritage, and contributions of Hispanic-Canadians to the growth and prosperity of our province. Thank you to all members of the Hispanic and Latin-Canadian community for sharing the warmth of your culture with our province and for your contributions to Ontario’s vibrance and multicultural success story.

Ontario’s seventh wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is still being fueled by the Omicron BA.5 subvariant. Please be aware that parents and caregivers of children aged six months to under five years are now able to book appointments for the pediatric COVID-19 vaccine. Immunocompromised youth aged 12 to 17 are also eligible to schedule their second booster dose (fifth dose) if at least six months have passed since their first booster (fourth dose). For the full details click here.

As always, my Constituency Office is ready to hear from you. If anyone has any concerns or challenges accessing support, or needs help booking a vaccination, please call my office at 416 281-2787 or send an email to mhunter.mpp.co@liberal.ola.org.

Warm regards,
