Mitzie Hunter, MPP for Scarborough-Guildwood announced that the Government of Ontario through the Ministry of Training, Colleges and Universities is providing nearly $340,000 through the Productivity and Innovation Fund to help Centennial College become more innovative while improving learning experiences for local students.

CENT-CPR1-I-Full     International Business Concepts – A Pilot for Course Redesign to Blended Delivery --- $119,950

CENT-PP2-I-Full        Program Revitalization – School of Business and School of Engineering, Technology and Applied Science  --- $219,999

Providing students with affordable, world-class postsecondary education that equips them with the skills they need to succeed is part of Ontario’s economic plan to invest in people, build modern infrastructure and support a dynamic and innovative business climate.

  • As part of the Productivity and Innovation Fund, Ontario is investing more than $47 million to support 120 projects at colleges and universities across the province.
  • Ontario has created an additional 161,000 postsecondary student spaces since 2002-03.
  • Ontario has increased investment in publicly funded colleges and universities by $2.2 billion, or 80 per cent, since 2002-03.
  • Ontario has the highest postsecondary attainment rate in the OECD, with more than 65 per cent of adults in Ontario holding a postsecondary credential.
