Ontario’s Gas Tax Program is helping people inScarboroughget out of their cars and onto public transit. This year, the City ofTorontowill receive $162,824,378 in Gas Tax funding. For the 11th consecutive year, theOntariogovernment is providing support to the City ofTorontoto improve its public transit system for families.
Expanding public transit is part of the government’s economic plan forOntario. The four part plan is buildingOntarioup by investing in people’s talents and skills, building new public infrastructure like roads and transit, creating a dynamic, supportive environment where business thrives, and building a secure savings plan so everyone can afford to retire.
